Campinastraat, Eindhoven

In 1961, the ‘melkinrichting Campina’ opened as a modern factory site. After over 55 years of activity, silence reigns, with only the scent of milk remaining. Since 2021, this 3.5-hectare site is being transformed into a modern, sustainable urban district featuring about 700 homes and 18,000 m² of commercial space. This new area, called De Caai, integrates living, working, and recreation, blending high and low-rise buildings with historic factory structures to preserve the site's legacy. It creates a space for entrepreneurs to collaborate on solutions for societal challenges, while residents enjoy tranquility and the benefits of community.
